Variegated Calamondin

Description
The orange tree you'll want to grow as much for its intriguing look as you will for the fruit. This is a compact variety, not winter hardy past zone 9, so it's best grown in a pot you can move inside to add beauty and excitement through the winter months. The leaves are beautiful on their own, with bold variegation. Once established, it'll produce fragrant white flowers again and again throughout the year. Then, in a few seasons, it'll start producing fruit. The immature oranges are striking, with green and yellow stripes across their skin. When they mature, they'll turn fully orange remaining petite and tart. If you bring this plant outside in the warmer months, it'll attract pollinators. Or if you'd prefer it indoors year-round, keep it in a sunny window and use a paintbrush to pollinate the blooms. Citrus x citrofortunella mitis 'Variegata'
