Summer Spice® Grape Sorbet™ Hibiscus

The dream for hardy hibiscus is for flowers that make the garden look like an island paradise on a habit that'll survive cold weather. Hardy hibiscus generally produce decently sized blooms in mostly reds, whites and pinks. They're gorgeous, but not quite the massive, tropical wonders of their southern counterparts. With this in mind, it's no wonder the new cultivar Grape Sorbet™ is an award winner. Thanks to Texas A&M's research and breeding, this entirely new bloom color will help you feel the sun and sand even if you're gardening in zone 5. The blooms are 8" across, ruffled, and last from July to frost, when most of the other big floral displays are done for the year. The plant is compact at just 3'x3'. As moscheutos is an herbaceous variety, it'll die back in winter and grow new in spring. Hibiscus x moscheutos '4406' PPAF
