Shin-Shigyoku Clematis

Description
Indigo, double flowers has a surprising silvery underside. Plant it against lighter background to enhance the bloom color. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy them-Shin-Shigyoku blooms in early summer, and with proper deadheading, can rebloom in late summer to early fall. It also perennializes well. Because clematis like Shin-Shigyoku are twining vines that prefer warm sunlight on top and cool, shaded roots, it gives landscaping a unique opportunity for where to place them. This variety can climb up natural supports that won't need hard pruning, like deciduous and coniferous shrubs. The shrub will shade the roots, give your clematis a good foothold to help it climb, and won't be damaged by its vining. Clematis 'Shin-Shigyoku'
