Seersucker Sedge

Green, leafy plants make a garden look healthy and lush, and Seersucker Sedge is a great one for that. The leaves are puckered, so in mass plantings they'll add textural interest. The tidy, mounded shape is nice for edging—we like it especially along mulch paths because it provides good structure in a pretty, natural way. As it is a native plant, it will do well alongside other grasses without getting overrun. In fact, you'll be pleased with its performance in many different landscaping situations. It's tolerant of both constantly moist and drier soils once established. Useful in rock gardens, containers and woodland settings. In warmer zones it's even semi-evergreen. Carex plantaginea
