Samurai Variegated Toad Lily

Who could resist the sweet, bright little blooms of this toad lily? In late summer they crop up, intricate in both orchid–like form and the tiny speckles all over the blooms. It's a unique, tropical look for your shade garden in late summer to early fall. If you're using some leafy ground covers through a shady area, this is a nice pop of color to liven up the group. The leaves are interesting too, as they're lightly variegated. This toad lily thrives best in moist soil, but once it's established it can handle some dry shade. Tricyrtis formosana 'Samurai'
