Honeymoon in Vegas Lenten Rose

Description
Deep mauve-purple, 3" blooms appear in late winter to very early spring and bring some of the earliest color to the landscape. Hellebores, or Lenten Roses, prefer full to partly shady spaces like woodland gardens or under a hedgerow. They grow amid glossy, leathery foliage on stems of 18-24" tall with an equal spread. Enjoy them outdoors or bring a few stems inside to brighten up your décor. Deer resistant and drought tolerant. Helleborus orientalis 'Honeymoon in Vegas'
Among the earliest blooms to emerge in early spring, Hellebores, also known as Lenten Roses, sometimes push up through late-season snow to show their pretty faces to the world. Hardy, vigorous and easy to grow, they prefer well-drained soil and will become drought-tolerant in later years. They add color and beauty to an otherwise bleak landscape, appearing before any of the traditional spring-blooming flowers. This deer-resistant shade perennial is available in a variety of colors, and looks marvelous in woodland areas and around shrubs and tree lines.
