La Donna Peony

Description
The pastel bicolor and the fluffy double flower form go so well together, creating an undeniably precious, ethereal bloom. This peony creates beautiful structure in a garden border through lush, lasting foliage. La Donna's heavenly blooms set a landscape apart—but be sure to grab a few for your indoor arrangements. The deliciously fragrant flowers are beautiful in a vase and make a lavish centerpiece for a dinner party. Peonies are the perfect long-term perennials—they're incredibly low-maintenance, deer rarely bother them and they last decades. Paeonia lactiflora 'La Donna'
Peonies have few requirements: give them a sunny well-drained location, plant 2-4' apart, with the eyes (new buds at the crown) no more than 2" below soil level and apply fertilizer or compost in spring. First, they'll bring you lasting, handsome foliage for reliable structure in your garden borders. They take a while to establish, often 3 years before the first bloom—but the wait is worth it. They are heirloom quality. Let them grow undisturbed and they will bring joy to you and your loved ones through the decades.
