Hagley Clematis

Description
After a very early spring pruning, Hagley will grow compact, bushy and floriferous. This allows for a unique way to grow your clematis if you don't have room for the traditional fence–liner. Hagley has the ideal habit for pots and window boxes. Not to mention, it'll bloom on new wood, so accidentally pruning away the buds isn't such a big concern. The flowers range from fully pink to nearly white–give it partial shade to keep the colors from bleaching. Butterflies and other beneficial pollinators love it, RHS plant critics who presented it with the Award of Garden Merit love it, and with how quickly, beautifully and easily Hagley grows in the home garden, we're sure you will love it too. Hagley Clematis is in the GREEN pruning category. It blooms on old and new wood, so prune as often or as fully as you like to promote reblooming. See our Stoplight Pruning Guide for more information.
