Globe Thistle

Description
Don't let the name fool you. Globe Thistle, or echinops, is an herbaceous perennial flower, not a thistle. Its up to 2", blue globe flowers are born on gray stems and attract butterflies and pollinators. The flowers provide carefree late summer color and are favored in dried and fresh floral arrangements. Blooming from early to late summer, this deer-resistant perennial adds texture and color to mixed perennial flower beds, cottage gardens and cutting gardens. Growing 30-36" tall, this easy-care perennial grows best in full sun.
