Description
One of our most popular perennials. Pastel flowers bloom profusely late spring to early summer. The multicolored blossoms sit on sturdy 14-16" stems above the deeply lobed foliage. Hardy. Space 14-16" apart in sun to partial shade. They may go dormant in mid to late summer if stressed by high heat and drought, but will emerge again in fall when the weather cools. Zones 4-8. Aquilegia x 'McKana Giants' Deer tend to avoid.

Their large blooms with their distinctive spurs open in great abundance over an exceptionally long period in late spring and early summer, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds in droves. They bloom on 18" stems above 15" wide mounds of lacy blue-green foliage, which can be cut back in summer to keep it fresh. Widely adaptable and easy to grow, but needs good drainage.

Bare-root perennials, trees and shrubs are kept in the nursery row until full dormant. This promotes optimum transit conditions and success in your garden. In the Fall, these plants tend to arrive at the later end of the shipping window.

In all cases, we choose the fastest, most efficient way to send your order.

For trees and other oversize items, we do not ship to PO boxes and it will be delivered via FedEx Home delivery.
