Blue Ribbon Buddleia

Description
We are proud to have procured even a very limited quantity of this extraordinary new cultivar from renowned breeder, Peter Podaras. Most butterfly bushes that are considered blue carry this warmer lavender-blue hue. That's beautiful, but what really drew our attention with this periwinkle-colored variety is that it's a much purer blue than we've seen before. It adds a cooler, more refreshing tone to the sizzling summer garden. These flower panicles about the size you'd expect from a butterfly bush, but the individual blooms on the panicle are much larger than average. Plus, their often semi- or even fully double--so the flower form is just as unique and showy as the bloom color. All this happens above a compact, tidily rounded habit--great for adding structure to a low border. Blue Ribbon will also enhance the whole garden by drawing in beautiful, fluttering butterflies. It is brand-new, exclusively a Spring Hill variety and in especially small supply, so if you've fallen in love like we have, please don't delay. Buddleia 'Blue Ribbon'
