Apache Sunset Hummingbird Mint

Description
We're so impressed with this variety, that we've replanted several of our pollinator gardens to accommodate more. First and foremost, the vivid coloration just "feels" like a summer sunset. Add flower power that's produced on a compact plant that resists splitting, and you have an aromatic addition to the border that earns its space. You'll love the gray-green foliage and the butterflies and hummingbirds it attracts will love you back, with aerial performances that'll keep you entertained for hours. Particularly effective when planted with blues, reds and other hot colors, but we've mixed it up with pastels to profound effect as well. It's proven to be reliably hardy at our research farm here in the Midwest—just give it a sunny spot that's well drained and it'll reward you for years. Agastache 'Apache Sunset'

It is perfect for growing in large containers, rock gardens, flower borders, cottage gardens, herb gardens, and butterfly gardens. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and songbirds adore this plant! Knee high plants carry loads of flower spikes with deep orange flowers and rose purple buds all summer long. They provide a striking contrast to the cool silvery green, aromatic, finely textured foliage. When the leaves are crushed, they smell strongly of licorice, mint, or root beer (depending on your own keen sense of smell!).
